FIFA World Cup Recap: 13 Matches, 8 Host Cities, & One Unforgettable Tribal Eyes Journey!

What an incredible, action-packed World Cup season it has been! At Tribal Eyes, we’ve always believed that fashion and culture are global languages that unite people, much like the world’s greatest sporting event.

To celebrate culture, unity, and style, the Tribal Eyes team hit the road for an epic multi-city tour across North America. From interacting with global fans at host cities to our exclusive Atlanta Cultural Exchange activations, here is a look back at our World Cup journey!

8 Cities We Explored

We traveled coast to coast (and across the border!) to bring the Tribal Eyes vibe to soccer fans from every corner of the globe. Our journey took us through 8 phenomenal host cities: Toronto, Boston, Philadelphia, Kansas City, Houston, Dallas, New Jersey, and Atlanta.

In every city, we were blown away by the energy and enthusiasm of fans wearing their countries' colors with pride. We handed out sunglasses with countries that were represented at the World Cup, and our Tribe sent us so much content of wearing our eyewear at the stands.

13 Epic Matches

Nothing beats the electrifying feeling of being in a stadium filled with chanting, cheering fans. We were thrilled to be in the crowd for 13 match-ups, witnessing history on the pitch and incredible fan fashion by our Tribe: Netherlands vs. Sweden, Cape Verde vs. Saudi Arabia, Portugal vs. Congo, Egypt vs. Australia, Morocco vs. France, Morocco vs. Haiti, Ghana vs. Croatia, Ghana vs. Colombia, France vs. Paraguay, England vs. Congo, Argentina vs. England, Congo vs. Uzbekistan, and Egypt vs. Argentina.

From high-stakes clashes like Argentina vs. England and Morocco vs. France, to the powerful representation from Cape Verde, Congo, Ghana, Egypt, and Haiti, the atmosphere was unmatched.

Bringing Style to ATL: The Atlanta Cultural Exchange

Atlanta held an extra-special place in our World Cup journey! We were so delighted to be part of the stadium adjacent marketplace as Atlanta's Global citizen eyewear brand - in partnership with the Mayors Office of Cultural Affairs, Showcase Atlanta, and Atlanta Cultural Exchange. We hosted an immersive cultural gathering showcasing our ethnic eyewear, bestsellers, and newest launches—including our special collaboration with Stylist and Creative Director James Aguiar! Fans had the opportunity to learn about our story and receive custom fittings directly from our founder, Dr. Ona Utuama.

On match day, we brought the excitement directly to the stadium entrance! We connected with fans heading into all of Atlantas games, sharing our mission, our frames, and our love for culture and soccer, from Albania to Japan, Portugal and Congo to Russia. Connecting face-to-face with you all in Atlanta was an incredible highlight. Seeing fans rock our statement frames as part of their matchday outfits proved once again that culture and fashion belong on the world stage.

Thank You Atlanta and all of our Tribe!

Whether you bumped into us at our World cup shop, at the stadium, visited our Atlanta pop-up, or followed along online, thank you for being part of the Tribal Eyes family.

As the World Cup excitement winds down, our mission to celebrate diversity, heritage, and high-style eyewear continues.
